About Sue-Ching

Hi, I’m Sue-Ching! An artist, maker and joyful human. 👋
I started out as a practising artist, working mostly in textiles and soft sculpture. Drawn to anything tactile, colourful, and a little bit magical. Then in 2020, during the first lockdown, I dusted off my sewing machine and made a dress. One dress turned into five, then ten, then… well, let’s just say things escalated quickly.
What began as a way to calm my busy brain soon became a full-blown slow fashion label of one-of-a-kind pieces and small-batch collections created on a made-to-order model.
I believe in making things slowly, with care, and with heart. Whether I’m sewing colourful clothes or sharing about creativity, everything I make comes from a place of softness, intention, and play.
I started this space to celebrate what happens when we create outside of pressure - when we make for joy, for comfort, for connection.
✨ Slow Fashion, Always
I make each piece with care, using thoughtful materials, ethical practices, and a focus on feel-good design. I choose people and process over speed or scale.
🌱 Creativity as Care
I believe making is healing and that joy, color, and slowness can be acts of resistance and renewal.
🧵 Handmade in Small Batches
Most of what I make is sewn by me, or with trusted local collaborators. Always fair pay, never dropshipping, and never mass production.
I’ve also written my first book, Making Happy Things, which comes out July 29, 2025! It’s a DIY craft book packed with sustainable projects, encouragement and colour. Published through Hardie Grant.
A few things I love:
-
Colourful socks
-
Print clashing
-
Cups of tea
-
Finding the wonder in the every day
Whether you’re here to shop, sew, or simply soak up some inspiration - welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
Sue-Ching xx
